What is Community and How Does That Impact Fundraising?
A tribute to fundraising master Tony Elischer
The fundraising world lost a true icon last week. Tony Elischer was an international creative strategist, enchanting guru, and rebel rouser! Once you heard him speak you never forgot him or what he said.
We were so lucky to have Tony on our Fundraising Masters Series back in 2013 and we’re reposting the recording to share with you. I just listened again, and loved his take on the global fundraising industry, the culture of philanthropy around the world, and the concept of community and how to build it to foster charitable giving.
He’s riveting start to finish. Treat yourself to an hour of inspiration.
“My heart and my soul is in this profession. There’s enough people out there championing the cause. I want to be a champion for fundraising…not for itself but for what it can achieve. We need to be proud to be fundraisers, we are heroes. We can’t ever say that. But it’s actually saying let’s really believe in that stuff.”
